AMANDA AND DALÌ
Vademecum for immortality
In Salvador Dalí's house, among mirrors, obsessions, provocations and unspeakable fears, Amanda Lear enters as muse, pupil, creature to be shaped and a body desired but never truly possessed.
He, a theatrical and tyrannical genius, transforms everything into a symbol: sex, fame, doubt, death.
She, young, fragile and ferocious, looks to Dalì for guidance capable of saving her from anonymity, but soon discovers that being watched by a genius also means risking
to become his invention.
Through comical, cruel, and surreal dialogues, the show explores the construction of Amanda Lear's myth: ambiguity as a weapon, image as talent, mystery as a form of survival.
Dalí teaches her that truth is less important than legend, that doubt can be more powerful than identity, and that to become immortal one must first accept being misunderstood.
But behind the excess, the paradox and the mask,
A deeper question arises: what remains of us
when is the character no longer enough?
Amanda and Dalí is a sensual and poetic black comedy about identity as invention, art as a mask, and immortality as a desperate need to face life.
